We are excited about finishing our base coat of paint, and we have been eagerly showing it off! After a night out celebrating T-Model Ford’s 91st birthday party with him on The Square, the gang visited the North Mississippi Hill Country Picnic on Saturday morning. We listened to some great music and had a chance to chat with a bunch of folks about our mission. The response from the music festival attendees was overwhelmingly positive.
We also dropped by the Oxford Skate Park for the International Go Skate Day Skate Jam to watch some talent and share our message. The folks at the skate park really got a kick out of the bus so we were happy to give tours and take pictures.
Now that the base coat is finished, everyone is looking forward to painting the mural on the bus. Local artists Wendy Hansen and Andi Bedsworth have a great design which will turn the sides of the bus into an image of nature and agriculture.
It is reassuring to know that we have so many friends right here in Mississippi cheering us forward. With your help we really can make a difference, one small step at a time. Go to our kickstarter page and donate to help us towards our goal of an all-out farm-on-wheels. And be sure to follow our progress on Facebook.
